A free, warm space for older people in Brent over the winter months. Free activities on offer such as one-pot cooking and dancing, and information sessions around energy efficiency and mental wellbeing. Participants will be invited to an assessment with the Handyperson Service; to find out whether they could benefit from adaptations in their home, and with the Floating Support Service; to make sure they are getting all the benefits they are entitled to.
Eligibility: The space is open to people who are of pension age; struggling with their bills & worried about keeping warm over winter; not currently receiving support from the Wellbeing Team; and live in the Kensal Green/Harlesden/Queens Park area.
Referral process: Individuals must be referred by a social prescriber or other social care or healthcare professional. Individuals may also refer themselves by contacting the Wellbeing Team directly.
